Typhoon Lagoon

Today, we headed to Typhoon Lagoon. We got there just after lunch and dropped off our stuff by the kid play area, then took a float in the lazy river. About half way around it started to pour, and just as we made a complete circuit, they cleared the water due to lightening storms. We went back to our stuff and sat for about 30 minutes before they reopened the water areas.

We played in the wave pool for a while, and then Danny and Grant went to ride some slides while I took Geoff for a nap. Right after he fell asleep, Grant came to watch him and Danny and I went to ride a different slide - bit just as we arrived, they closed the water rides again due to more lightning. This storm lasted two hours - heavy rain, lots of thunder and lightening. Geoff slept through half of it, and then woke up and had a snack. At 6:00, they reopened the park, and from  6 - 8, we basically had the park to ourselves. We rode all the slides we wanted to, including Crush n Gusher and the family raft ride with absolutely no wait, Geoffrey played in the toddler splash area (and had a blast!) and we got to do the river and wave pool some more.

Once the park closed, we swung by home to change and then went to Cracker Barrel for dinner. Now we're playing and watching tv - relaxing and aiming for an early night!
