Blizzard beach (Thursday)

Today we went to Blizzard Beach.

We had breakfast at the house, first. Geoff was sort of playing with his food, so Bobby took his plate, thinking Geoffrey was done. Geoffrey looked at Bobby, pointed at his plate, and  adamantly said "EAT!" Guess he wasn't done! SO funny!

We got to Blizzard Beach around one. We had so much fun in the lazy river. They had a family raft ride that all six of us could ride together. It was really long and a lot of fun! But quite a hike to get to the top! Geoff took a nap while we ate snacks and then he spent some time in the toddler play area - he had fun there! We took turns playing with Geoffrey in the wave pool and riding slides.

Later, we decided to take the chair lift to the top and do the family raft ride again. The height limit was 32 inches - same as Tomorrowland Speedway - so Geoff was just tall enough. I was a little nervous, but Geoffrey did really well. He was very careful, and held on tight to me with one hand and to the side of the chair with his other hand. About halfway up, he relaxed a bit, but still held on and set nicely for the whole ride!

We wanted to do it again, but at 6:30 they had to close the park due to thunder. The park was supposed to close at 7, anyway. We left and headed back to dry off and change, before heading for dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge.

The people who work at Whispering Canyon Cafe are real characters. They love to tease the guests. If you ask for ketchup (which we had Danny do) you have to stand in the middle of the room and shout "Anybody have ketchup?" Then anyone who has it on there table has to bring it to you - we ended up with 8 bottles of ketchup on our table! The food was pretty good - we did an all you can eat family style bbq meal.

We were also lucky enough to run into Mom and Bobby's neighbor and her family. They are visiting at the same time and staying at the Wilderness Lodge. It was fun seeing them.
