EPCOT / Cape May Cafe

On Saturday, the weather was forcasted to be 95 degrees, feeling like 107 with humidity. Fun! It actually didn't feel as bad as the weather channel said - at least I didn't think so.

We parked at the Beach Club, because we were eating dinner there later. The Beach Club is a short walk to the International Gate entrance into EPCOT. WE headed straight to Ellen's Energy Adventure in the Universe of Energy pavilion, and enjoyed 45 minutes of air conditioning. Geoffrey fell asleep, so I rode on Spaceship Earth and Grant went to see Captain EO. Geoffrey woke up about 10 minutes before Grant got back, and promptly searched the stroller for the bag of popcorn. Then he walked up to the lady next to us to say hello. She gave him a velcro frog from one of the Innoventions pavilions, and he gripped it all day long!

Once Grant got back, we swung through Club Cool to drink some International soda, and then rode Journey into the Imagination.

We took the boat back to the Beach Club and enjoyed the Clambake buffet. I gorged myself on crab legs, fried shrimp, lobster ravioli, and more crab legs. Grant enjoyed the steak, the house salad, and the clam chowder. We both loved the chocolate melting cake desert.

We walked back to EPCOT and hung out in the UK pavilion. Geoffrey explored the hedge maze for a while, and then we got our pictures taken with Winnie-the-Pooh and Tigger, too. At 8:00, The British Invasion came out and we watched them do some Beatles numbers.

We decided to stay  for Illuminations, so we walked over to France and watched Impressions de France. The film ended just a few minutes before Illuminations began. We watched between France and Morocco with a great, uncrowded view. Leaving through the International gateway was quick and easy and we didn't have to fight crowds all the way to the main entrance!
