Today we went to Blizzard Beach. We got there around noon and stayed until closing at 5:00. The park was very uncrowded - we were able to do everything we wanted with minimal wait. I was even able to do Summit Plummit.
We spent plenty of time in the lazy river and the wave pool. We took the chair lift up and rode the family raft ride down - although the 2nd time, Geoffrey refused to sit. (He's not allowed to sit on our lap). Since he wouldn't sit he couldn't ride, so he and I walked down while Grant rode with the family they had put us with (you have to have four in the raft so if Grant had left that family would have waited for someone else...) Later in the day, we tried again and Geoffrey sat, but he wasn't happy. Once the ride started going Geoffrey started to cry and tried to get in my lap - so I went ahead and put him in my lap. He wasn't happy on the ride at all this time. :o(
Otherwise, we had fun - as I said, we got to do any slide we wanted, we could easily get innertubes in the wave pool, and we had fun.
We headed back to our condo and showered before heading out in search of dinner. WE ended up at the Golden Corral, which had almost all of the fixings for a good Thanksgiving dinner (the only thing missing was cranberries!) The meal was actually quite tasty and we left completely stuffed.
After dinner we headed towards the Magic Kingdom. We parked at the .... Polynesian (did you guess?) and took the monorail, arriving in the park at about 9:00. The park was scheduled to close at 1 AM, but of course we didn't have to stay until closing - heh heh. We went to Tomorrowland and got Buzz fast passes. We rode the People Mover. Then Grant rode Space Mountain while I took Geoffrey on the Tomorrowland SPeedway. Then I rode Space Mountain whild the boys rode the People Mover again. We spent some time dancing at the Tomorrowland dance party and then rode Buzz.
Next we headed over to Fantasyland and rode the carousel (horse!!!) and Small World. Since by this time the park was considerably empty, we decided to take turns doing Splash and Big Thunder - we wanted Geoffrey to fall asleep in his stroller anyway. So we headed over there and each of us took a turns riding Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain until the park closed. Geoffrey didn't fall asleep . Ha! He stayed awake until we left the park - but he snoozed on the monorail back to the car. It was a loooong day, and we were beat!
