Today we went to Animal Kingdom. We took it really easy and we didn't get to the park until about 2:30. Of course, this being Animal Kingdom, it started to rain as soon as we arrived.
We watched Legend of the Lion King, first. Next, we did the Safari. Although there weren't many animals out, we did get to see the lions and cheetahs, which we don't often get to see.
We went back to the character trails since they were decorated for Christmas - and we met Goofy, Pluto, Donald, and a bunny whose name I don't know - she kind of looked like Thumper's sister. We didn't see Mickey because his line was ridiculously long.
Next, Grant and I took turns riding Expedition Everest while Geoffrey ate a snack. The single rider line made the ride a walk-on.
At 6:15 we saw "Finding Nemo, the Musical." We had never seen the park at night before, so it was cool to see the park lit up when we left the show. We walked through the Dinosaur area and hopped on the Triceratop Spin (basically the Flying Dumbos) just before the park closed.
After we left the park, we went to Downtown Disney for dinner. We parked behind Cirque Du Soleil, and walked all the way to the Marketplace and back. We had dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express (on the West Side) and browsed a few shops. We shared an ice cream sundae and a hot chocolate at Ghiredelli, and played a bit at the lego store. Geoffrey was pretty fussy all day. We've been busy, but he seems to be getting plenty of sleep - more then usual, almost. He seems to have a little cough so he might not be feeling that great.
