Saturday - Waikiki

On Saturday, Grant, Geoff, Kate and I headed into Waikiki. We found some free parking - woohoo! And walked about 3/4 of a mile to the International Market Place. We bought some shirts and a dress for me, and then shared a smoothie and listened to some music. WE had lunch at Round Table and watched some Olympics while we ate. Next, we headed down to Waikiki beach where Grant and Geoffrey swam while Kate and I sat on the beach and talked with a couple from Texas and a man who lived on the beach - well except between the hours of 2 and 5 AM, when it is illegal to be on the beach.

Next, we started to head back towards our car. We found a shaved ice window and got a treat, and visited the koi fish at the Sheraton.Back at the car, we took a drive up the lush mountains behind Waikiki. The rain started up again, but despite it, we were treated to some beautiful views, as well as a full rainbow!

We met Gary and Donna at "The Alley," a restaurant attached to a bowling alley, and had some tasty fresh fish sandwiches and delicious garlic french fries. While we were there, Grant found a Monorail at a mall a mile away from where our dinner was! Bribery at its best! After dinner, at which Geoffrey was suspiciously well behaved, we went to the mall and rode the monorail - making Geoff extemely happy!
